Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some comments from librarians using the courier service:
Q:Why don’t libraries flag the interlibrary loan paperwork “Courier Library” to indicate that Kansas Library Express can be used to return the loan?
A: This suggestion was made to speed the process of determining if the courier could be used to return an item.
Q: Why don’t libraries send return shipping labels for items loaned on the courier?
A: This practice is contributing the number of mis-labeled items returned to libraries. When delivery routes are modified, address labels must be changed. Libraries who intend to be helpful are actually providing some out-dated labels.
Q: How can I find if a library can receive courier shipments?
A: There are quite a few libraries that have a name different than the town they are located in. Use the list of courier libraries on the Kansas Library Express website or search for the name of the library at the Henry Industries label website.
Q: How will I know if address labels have been updated?
A: The Henry Industries website shows the date of the most recent changes. See the KS Library Express link on the left side of the main Henry Industries webpage under the photograph.
